where is the Venue?

Chepstow Castle, Bridge Street, Chepstow, NP16 5EY

gate opening times?

General admission for the concert will be from 6.30pm, any registered disabled persons at the venue prior to the gates opening, will be assisted into the venue by our designated crew members.

bag policy?

All bags brought into the venue will be subject to search by SIA Security. Please avoid bringing a bag if you can as this will speed up entry into the venue.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK TO THE VENUE?

No pre-purchased food and drink is allowed into the event. Bar and food stalls are available on site. You will be subject to a search at entry and prohibited items will be confiscated. Sealed bottles of water will be allowed into the venue. If you have a medical condition, then a doctor’s note will permit diet-specified food and drink.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE INSIDE THE EVENT?

Cash or Card will be accepted for anything purchased during the event. There is no cash machine on site.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHAIR?

Foldable chairs or any chair brought into the venue by ticket holders are not allowed. You can However buy a seated ticket where we provide the seat for you. If you have purchased a ticket for Russell Watson, seated tickets purchased from us will be located near the front of the stage. FOR RUSSELL WATSON ONLY, you will be allowed to bring your own chair, which can be placed behind the pre-booked seats.

CAN I BRING A PICNIC BLANKET TO SIT ON?

Blankets are NOT permitted to be brought into the venue.

ITS RAINING IS THE EVENT STILL TAKING PLACE?

Yes, events will carry on whatever the weather, unless deemed unsafe to proceed, so come prepared for weather. We do advise that Ponchos be worn in wet weather conditions as umbrellas can block the view for other people.

ARE THERE TOILETS?

Yes, portable toilets are available in the castle grounds for Castell Roc events. Toilets will be situated at the rear of the lower Bailey and near the Bar. The public toilets next to the Tourist Information in the carpark will also be left open for the duration of the event. 

WILL THERE BE FIRST AID COVER AT THE EVENT?

Yes, there will be fully qualified First Aid available during our events. If a First Aid Personnel is required, please contact the nearest member of the Castell Roc Team, or visit the First Aid area on the right as you enter the castle gates.

I AM DISABLED AM I ABLE TO COME?

Yes, we try to make all our event's as disabled friendly as possible. Please be aware that the ground is uneven, there is also a steep path up to the Castle. We also have dedicated stewards that can help you once you have arrived. Disabled toilets are also provided along with a disabled seating area. If you have specific issues you wish to discuss, please don't hesitate to contact us.

As a Friendly Festival, we like to include everyone, carer tickets are available here are a few details....  Personal Assistance (Carer) admitted free of charge, please provide evidence, Access card with + 1 symbol, Confirmation letter showing receipt of daily living component PIP or DLA, Proof of diagnosis of being on the autistic spectrum or a GP Letter confirming that you cannot attend the festival alone. Carer tickets are only available through the Box Office on 01291 627122

IS THE EVENT OUTDOOR AND IS THERE ANY SHELTER?

The Castle does not have any cover, in the event of rain we ask you use Ponchos rather than Umbrellas to not restrict the view for others attending the event. In the event of Hot Weather please ensure you keep hydrated.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There are quite a few carparks in Chepstow, all within a short walking distance to the Castle. Carparks are pay and display but are free after 6.00pm. Take a look at our Information Page where all the carparks are listed, along with /// what three words and postcodes. The public are NOT permitted to park on the grassed area outside the Castle, this area is for bands and crew only.

CAN I SMOKE OR VAPE IN THE VENUE?

Chepstow Castle has a Non-Smoking or Vaping Policy, under conditions of our license no one is permitted to smoke or vape in the venue, please use the smoking area outside the castle gates.

DO YOU HAVE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

All ages are welcome to shows. Children under 6 are free. Under 16's must be accompanied by a paying adult.

RE-ADMITTANCE POLICY:

When you arrive to the Castle you will exchange your tickets for a wristband to allow entry to the event. There is No Re-Entry allowed after 8pm.        Wristbands will be different colour for each night, so wristbands will only allow entry for the night tickets are purchased.

WILL MY TICKETS ALLOW ME TO VISIT THE CASTLE DURING THE DAY?

Tickets are only valid for the duration of the concert. Castle Roc tickets will not allow you to gain entry to the castle at any other time. Tickets for the Castle during the day can be purchased at the Cadw box office. The castle will close at 6pm to the general public, and then later reopen for the concert.

I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND; CAN I GET A REFUND?

Tickets are Non-Refundable

WHAT TIME DOES MY EVENT END?

All Events have a curfew of 11pm.
