Venue information

Tickets and event information

Tickets for Events are strictly limited and sell out very quickly.

When the acts are announced, the fastest way to purchase your tickets is to book online (refer to specific Event page for ticketing links).

Concert tickets will also be also be available the Festival Box Office at:

Entry to Chepstow Castle

Chepstow Castle will be open as usual to the public during the day, subject to normal fees. The gates will close to the public at 6pm.

For Event gate opening times & show end times refer to specific Event pages.

Public access to the Castle on Event nights will not allow access to Events hosted on the same evening. People who do not have Event tickets will be asked to leave. The gates will then re-open and only people holding valid Event tickets will be admitted from then on.

Gate staff/security or any person working for or on behalf of the Event or Chepstow Castle reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone.

Security staff will be present on the gate. Bag inspection etc. may be requested. Upon entry colour coded wristbands will be issued as proof of entry & age (i.e. 18 or under). For persons close to the age of 18 it is suggested that proof of age is carried. Failure to display a wristband will result in removal from the site.

Unaccompanied children

Castell Roc is not responsible for unaccompanied children in Chepstow Castle. It is a parental/guardian responsibility.

Age Restrictions

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an Adult. In certain circumstances minimum age limits apply. Please refer to the individual show page for details of any restrictions that may be applicable.

Seating Arrangements

Unless noted otherwise all shows are unseated. Reasonably sized foldable chairs can be brought in to the venue but must be positioned in designated areas.

Food and drink at the venue

A range of hot and cold food will be available at Chepstow Castle during Events as well as a fully licensed bar, selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. No drinks are to be brought into the venue. No glass items of any kind, (including wine glasses etc) are allowed in to the grounds.

Barbecues, gas cylinders or any naked flames are strictly prohibited.

Please use bins provided.

Toilets

There will be portable toilets within the Castle grounds. Additional toilets may be available outside the Castle grounds in the Public toilets located in the Car Park next to Chepstow Tourist Information Centre.

Pets and animals

No pets or animals will be admitted.

Bad weather

The Events will take place irrespective of prevailing weather conditions, so please be prepared for all weather (tents/gazebos are prohibited).

No refund will be offered due to inclement weather.

Travel

Travelling by car

Chepstow is easy to find, just 15 miles from Bristol, 15 miles from Newport, 27 miles from Gloucester & 30 miles from Cardiff and can be easily reached via major motorways (we are 5 minutes from Junction 2 of the M48).

Public transport

The venue can be reached by a walk of about 10 minutes from both Chepstow railway & bus stations.

Parking

Please note that the Car Park located at the Castle Dell will be in use by the Production Team.

Ample Parking is available throughout Chepstow. Nominal parking fees may apply.

Main car parks are located (in order of nearest first): Drill Hall (NP16 5HJ), Welsh Street (NP16 5ZH), Nelson Street (NP16 5HT), The Station (NP16 5PB).

Street parking is available subject to normal highway law.

Customers who are registered with the blue badge scheme can find parking spaces in Chepstow’s main Car Parks (subject to availability).

Access, tickets and accommodation

Disabled access and facilities

Disabled persons should note that access to the site is on a steep hill. Those with mobility difficulties should arrange for assistance. Besides the incline, access does not involve steps/kerbs etc. A limited number of stewards will be available although Castell Roc cannot guarantee to provide assistance in all cases.

For disabled ticket-holders registered with the blue badge scheme, parking spaces are available in the adjacent car parks.

Disabled toilets are available.

Tickets

Tickets will not be refunded, exchanged or replaced for any reason. Castell Roc reserves the right to make minor changes to the line-up without prior notification.

Everyone attending an Event must buy a ticket at face value which will need to be produced to gain admission. This includes children and babies. For ticket pricing (including any concessions) refer to specific Event pages. Tickets are to be distributed by the relevant Event Promoter except where purchased through local box office (not Castell Roc). Individual Events are held/hosted by the relevant Promoter, therefore Castell Roc holds no responsibility for Events, moneys taken or refunds of any kind which are the sole responsibility of the Event Promoter. 

Site Security

A security search may be carried out before entering the arena. Castell Roc reserves the right to refuse admission to any person.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available in and around Chepstow for all budgets. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the lovely Town and the Wye Valley area.

Terms and conditions

Tickets will not be refunded, exchanged or replaced for any reason. Everyone attending an Event must have a ticket; this includes children and babies unless specifically noted otherwise.

It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to accompany their children. Castell Roc is not responsible for unaccompanied children in Chepstow Castle during Events.

On-stage entertainment times will vary per Event. Site curfew is show dependant but no later than 11:00pm prompt.

Castell Roc reserves the right to make minor changes to the line-up without notification.

Reasonably sized collapsible chairs will be permitted.

Tents, gazebos or any other structures are not permitted.

No animals will be admitted.

There is a food/full bar service available on site. Pre-purchased food & drinks cannot be brought into the grounds.

No glass items or 'sharps' allowed on site.

Barbecues, gas cylinders any naked flames are strictly prohibited.

The concerts will take place irrespective of prevailing weather conditions (unless the conditions are deemed to be a risk to public safety), so please be prepared for all weather.

There will be portable toilets within the Castle grounds. Additional toilets may be available outside the Castle grounds in the Public toilets located in the Car Park next to Chepstow Tourist Information Centre.

Chepstow Castle will be open as usual during the day. An Event ticket does not provide general admittance to the Castle during daytime hours. 

The gates to the Castle will close to the public from 6pm. After this time general visitors without Event tickets will be asked to leave. The gates will then re-open and only those people holding valid Event tickets will be admitted.

Castell Roc is located within a historical Castle. Safety is a primary concern/issue at such sites. Castell Roc cannot be held responsible for any accidents that may occur within the grounds that can be reasonably attributed to dangerous or misguided behaviour. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to accompany their children. Failure to observe warning signs/safety fencing or stewards advice will also nullify Castell Roc against any form of liability.

Anyone deemed to be causing a nuisance will be removed from the site immediately.

Anyone that causes nuisance or distress to the point that the Artiste/his or her crew or any Castell Roc representative deems it necessary to cancel the Event (or stop performance) will be liable to a Civil Court Action whereby Castell Roc or any of its representatives will seek to recover all costs associated with cancelling the Event.

Gate staff/security or any person working for or on behalf of the Event reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone.

Individual Events are not necessarily hosted by Castell Roc. As such tickets held for each individual Event are the property of the individual Event Promoter (or Artiste). Ticketing refunds etc should be made to the individual Event Promoter (or Artiste) and not Castell Roc. Contact Castell Roc if further information is required.

Recording of any type at any Event is strictly prohibited. Anyone seen recording any performance will be removed from the site and recording equipment may be confiscated. This may also lead towards criminal damages Claims due to breeches of Artiste's copyrights.

Event Photographers will be in operation at all Events. Entrance to the Event allows Castell Roc to use any photos taken within the venue for future promotional purposes.
